Love it! This is something I am uber-passionate about. We are setting our learners up for failure if we block every opportunity for them to even come across something inappropriate. I’m not saying we should let them loose by googling choice words, but we’ve got to make sure that we are embedding digital citizenship into our curriculum so that the kids’ minds are indeed doing the filtering!
Yes! That’s what we did with our kid, programmed between his ears. It’s essential! His mates parents all got Net Nanny and then gave them mobiles to download pron on.
I agree! Some “cultural filters” should be installed inside (not only) students’ heads.
