Does anyone know of some superintendents who are podcasting? If so, would you drop a URL and/or some contact info in the comments area for this post? Doug Johnson and I are looking for some examples that we can show other superintendents…
Help wanted: Podcasting superintendents?

Our superintendent, Dr. Ric Dressen, Edina Public Schools just did his first podcast this week for our usual weekly update. Instead of the voicemail message waiting on the phone, we got an email with the podcast link.
Y’all know about this?

There is a podcasting Superintendent in the Peoria Unified School District (AZ). His name is Dr. Denton Santarelli. He has done several podcasts and seems to do them about every month or two. You can listen to one here: http://portal.peoriaud.k12.az.us/txtlstvw.aspx?LstID=0d98890e-7e9f-403a-9539-2cb26046a1a5
Shawn Wheeler is the District IMT Director and is the person responsible for making this happen. He would be a great contact for you if you would like additional information.

I am not personally involved with the district but am very aware of their activities because I follow all of Shawn’s weekly podcasts where he discusses the district efforts with podcasting (Adventures in Podcasting). He also videocasts all of the District Governing Board meetings for the community which is an amazing effort to get the community involved.

Quick update to previous post. The first podcast link was telling about the Superintendent’s plan to use podcasting to communicate with the community. This link is actually the first podcast of the year by the superintendent, Dr. Santarelli.

Thanks for the comment Peggy. I do need to point out that I don’t do the heavy lifting on the Superintendents Podcast or the Governing Board meetings. A few other hard working people at PUSD do the real work behind the scenes. I just work on spreading the podcast word.

Our Supt has been at it for a few weeks now, but until last week, they were just internal. She only has one public podcast for now, but I’m sure more are on the way…
