Once a student creates work of value for an authentic audience beyond the classroom – work that is sophisticated, accurate, important and beautiful – that student is never the same. When you have done quality work, deeper work, you know you are always capable of doing more.

Thank you for this great article by Ron Berger. He’s our hero at my school. Taking learning beyond the classroom is imperative for deeper thinking and higher self-expectations. http://parkerperspectives.blogspot.com/2015/04/how-often-do-students-get-to-do.html
I have often used Ron Bergers work in my grad classes when I design professional development. This year I got to see him as SxSwEDU and really enjoyed hearing him speak about doing beautiful work.
Your question today got me to thinking about Ron’s SxSw presentation and how to scaffold teachers into doing their own beautiful work .. which lead me to a new blog post.. Thanks for the prompt.
