According to Feedburner, here are the subscriber numbers for Dangerously Irrelevant for the past 7 days. Either Feedburner’s got a glitch in its monitoring/reporting or people are finally discovering my brilliance (it’s about time!). Anyone else seeing this?
Something’s screwy with Feedburner?

Scott,
I’ve had the same pattern this week. Between Wednesday and today my subscriber count jumped from 16,000ish to 28,000. The analytics indicate that the new subscribers are coming from a Conduit toolbar. I created a Conduit toolbar months ago but it only accounted for 100 or so subscribers in the past. My hunch is that something changed at Conduit.
Richard
Thanks, Richard, for chiming in with your own experiences. I don’t have a Conduit toolbar.
Seeing a glitch with spiked subscriptions to our blogs, or your brilliance? No on both cases (just kidding)!
Sorry… had my coffee cup on my space bar last time I accessed Dangerously Irrelevant. Must of skewed the numbers. My bad.
Scott,
I experienced the same issues — the number went from 6K to 8K to 16K in 24 hours.

It’s because I introduced your blog to my staff as part of our start of year discussion on 21st Century learners 😉
I knew they were excited!

Did the McLoed Family Reunion and Blogoff just take place? If so, you can send the family my way. You guys talk in terms of 1000’s and I’m just happy with the couple of readers that I have. By the way, I think we have good conversations too, but probably not the statistical and legal level that you have here at DI.
I had to laugh at this post – my subscribers sit at about 325 – I’ll get excited if I get to 330 subscribers 🙂
cheers Sarah
I too have many fewer subscribers, so I find it a bit difficult to relate:-)
Scott, it’s obvious…brilliance. My numbers have been steady (which means, out of billions of people, only 2000 appreciate my blog).
;->
Anyways, wow for you! How are you handling the pressure to produce great content every day? hehe
Miguel
Scott,
Have your numbers come back to your normal levels or are they continuing to spike? Mine have continued to spike and FB is now reporting 34,000 which would be a 120% increase in one week. Usually FeedBurner glitches only last a couple of days, but this one seems to be a little more persistent.
Richard
Still continuing to spike. Today I’m up to 24,957. The longer they stay this high, the more I grow to like/expect it!
Bots??? Would it be bots?? I could be, couldn’t it??
