The entire bioscience industry in the US, according to Juan Enriquez (from www.TED.com talks), can be backed into a few carefully chosen 747s, and exported from the US in a heartbeat. Furthermore, it's all concentrated in only five zipcodes, mostly in Massachusetts or California. The wrong legal or regulatory change, and it can all move overseas, overnight. Not only will Biosciences not hire any dropouts… biosciences increasingly will not hire any Americans, anywhere.
