It is funny how this blog post is from 2009, yet still is a great resource in 2011! (And somehow I found this post through Larry Ferlazzo's post from 2010). I am a huge fan of the TED talks and these are still relevant for educators to watch now!

Thanks again!

I'm surprised Seth Godin isn't on your list. If I'm not mistaken, you showed a clip from his first TED talk when I saw you speak last year. Now he's got a new one - all about leadership: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/seth_godin_on_the_tribes_we_lead.html

@Mike: Yes, I'm a HUGE fan of Seth Godin! I've read every book he has, subscribe to his blog, and try to track down every video of his also. I noted that video earlier this month.

The reason I left Godin's TED videos off, as well as some other of my favorite TED videos (e.g., Jeff Han, Hans Rosling), is because I didn't think K-12 administrators would find them as relevant to their jobs, teaching and learning, and/or the overall changes we're seeing that are impacting schools as the ones I noted in the post.

Now, if administrators catch the TED bug and want to watch more...!

I've used this one
http://www.ted.com/talks/rives_tells_a_story_of_mixed_emoticons.html

Rives storytelling with emoticons with teachers to begin a discussion around writing and communication and change.
