<description>Now that I am working in Michigan, one of the first projects I took on was an informal assessment of the Online Learning Experience and I was startled (but not surprised) to find that many schools were finding the path of least resistance to ensure that this requirement was met.

Without going into the details, the initiative is not yet accomplishing the goals of infusing technology across the curriculum but some changes are on the way. The infrastructure, in the form of teachers trained to create effective online experiences is growing as witnessed by the emergence of short professional development experiences and one credit courses. By this time next year I hope to provide a more enthusiastic report.
