I know of no easier way to communicate with a large number of people. The most recent two blogs I created (since moving from the principalship to the central office) are discussed here: http://frankbuck.blogspot.com/2006/07/two-new-blogs.html These are a little different from the ones I started either personally or with my school in that the idea with these two is that a variety of people are being encouraged to post. The idea is a little slow in catching on, but we are working on it. Frank I think the blogging project is a great idea. I know of no easier way to communicate with a large number of people. We are trying to get at least one person in each school contributing. This makes our blog a bit more unique instead of having one person author all posts, it's open to different people. TeachTalladega.blogspot.com is a tool for us to communicate with school system employees. It's much easier to have a thought and that thought be available to the entire school system within 2 minutes than to write a memo, Xerox bunches of copies, and let the memo work its way down the chain and finally get to the teacher a week from Tuesday.
