I am not surprised by your initial data findings. In our district, we have lacked in DDDM and the use of data. We have so much data that we are awash in numbers that end up having little relevance. Thankfully, our district just hired a Director of Research and Evaluation to lead the way in being a data driven district. I am excited about the future. I forwarded him and the rest of our administrators the paper that Scott posted on DDDM. I will do the same with your survey. It is a good discussion point.

Dave, this study is going to be so helpful to the field. I'm excited to see your data and your write-up - thanks for sharing this with us!

Steve, I know your situation well. Marana has needed a Director of Research and Evaluation for quite some time. It is no longer the small country district northwest of Tucson. I worked with some of the central office administrators on DDDM issues, but they were always so consumed with their other responsibilities and the DDDM took a back seat.
Thanks Scott, I look forward to this research and seeing your results in Minnesota.

Since David posted about one of his data-driven decision-making (DDDM) projects yesterday, I thought I'd chime in with some info about a massive DDDM initiative underway here in Minnesota... The Minnesota Statewide DDDM Readiness Study is an attempt to...
